About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to play a key role in financial reporting, controls, and strategic support within our growing fintech company.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide inputs in the preparation of management accounts.
•Assist in the financial planning process, preparation of budgets and forecasts.
•Manage fixed asset schedules for depreciation, amortization, additions, and disposals.
•Maintain appropriate schedules such as accruals, prepayments, premium deposits, etc.
•Raise and post recurring journals for prepayments and accruals.
•Carry out periodic bank reconciliations and postings.
•Execute periodic intercompany reconciliations and settlements.
•Implement periodic general ledger (GL) reviews for accuracy and make corrections where necessary.
•Prepare and analyze monthly staff payroll and manage staff loans.
•Ensure timely filing of statutory payments and taxes.
•Attend to internal and statutory audit requests.
•Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Requirements

•HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance or any relevant course (ICAN/ACCA is an advantage).
•ICAN/ACA certification is compulsory.
•Minimum 5 years progressive experience in accounting or finance.
•Strong knowledge of financial reporting, payroll and statutory requirements.
•Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
•Ability to work independently and deliver under pressure.
•Must be proficient in QuickBooks.
